Bonnie J. Rumble, MFT, is a Marriage & Family Therapist with private practices that provides counseling and therapy services in San Diego and Cardiff by the Sea, California. She is the owner of Cardiff Counseling Center where she has trained over 10 interns whom have gone on to start their own private practices. She has been in private practice for over 20 years working with couples, individuals, families, adolescents and children.
Before she became a therapist she was a Department Head for 7 years in a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment center, and outpatient program. Her work there exposed her to many modalities of therapy including art, recreation and expressive therapies, along with more traditional approaches.
She has worked extensively with adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues as a program director and recreation therapist.
Bonnie has facilitated women’s growth groups addressing mind body and soul along with life issues such as relationships, depression, anxiety, grief and life transitions. She has also facilitated groups for adults and adolescents in recovery from addictions. Counseling services that focuses on maintaining healthy, happy sober lifestyles and healing and transforming their life without the crutch of substances or compulsive behaviors.

Vanessa Laterneau is a professional clinical counselor intern she received her Master’s of Science in Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling in June of 2013 from Purdue University in Indiana where she oversaw group therapy and individual therapy labs. She earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in both psychology and sociology with a minor in communication in 2009 from Purdue University.
Vanessa has been in the therapeutic field for the past six years. Her past experience includes tutoring, educating and teaching cognitive skills to developmentally delayed adults. Helping them progress both educationally and with life skills.
Vanessa has developed and implemented creative arts and environmental awareness programs for adults and children. She has experience in sand tray therapy and utilizes it when working with children. She has worked with hospice, dealing with end-of-life grief and loss issues for families and helping individuals reconcile life experiences and attend to their emotional and spiritual needs.
She has led intensive outpatient groups for alcohol and drug treatment addiction and also individualized therapy with substance use disorders, addiction and depression replacing maladaptive behaviors with adaptive coping skills. Vanessa incorporates the 12-step and other recovery models.
Vanessa is certified from Purdue University in Addiction Counseling and Expressive Art Therapy. She is a current member of:
